ShooFly Blues evolved from the melting pot of musical talent that was jam night at Danbury's widely revered music club, Blues Alley, hosted by our own Bruce Tibbitts. The band's DNA carries the markers for blues, soul, funk and rock & roll, all expertly executed by the fabulous vocalist Sharon Husted-Welter, "English" Dave Houlbrooke on guitar, the famous George P. Miller on bass and former Casa Blanca recording artists Bruce Tibbitts on guitar & vocal, Robert "Butch" Raymond on drums and Bob "Bob" Fink on keys, delivering compelling performances that stir and capture the imagination and arouse the primal urge to get up and dance. Caution, we will tear the house down!
Our broad repertoire includes the songs and styles of Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Susan Tedeschi, Led Zeppelin, and many others ranging from deep smoky ballads to "barn burner" rock & roll.
ShooFly Blues were recently featured in a live concert from radio station WPKN's roundly applauded "Antique Blues" series and have performed at many venues, including The Danbury City Center Concert series, Redding Roadhouse, Georgetown Saloon, Molly Darcy's to name a few.
